Rome, 12 May (LaPresse) – ‘At present, only biological samples’ from the Calabrian patient with symptoms consistent with hantavirus are expected to arrive. This was clarified in a statement by the Lazzaro Spallanzani National Institute for Infectious Diseases (IRCCS), ‘in light of the latest press reports regarding the suspected case of hantavirus’. The patient therefore remains in quarantine.
