Rome, 12 May (LaPresse) – “It will be worth being there between 2032 and 2033 because that is when the first train on the Turin-Lyon high-speed line is due to pass through, as well as the first train on the Bolzano-Munich line via the Brenner Tunnel, and also the first train, the first lorry, the first camper van and the first car to cross the Bridge over the Strait – not in a few hours, but in about ten minutes” . This was stated by the Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, Matteo Salvini, speaking at the presentation of the project for the new Frosinone station on the high-speed line, held today at the FS headquarters in Rome. The minister drew inspiration from the work on the Frosinone AV station, which is due to begin in 2030 (with the presentation of the plan and the launch of tenders in 2028), and the completion of the works, with the passage of the first train, in 2033.
