Iran: Ship Seized Off the Coast of the UAE, Heading Toward Iranian Waters

Dubai (United Arab Emirates), May 14 (LaPresse/AP) – The UK Maritime Security Agency (UKMTO) reported that a ship anchored off the coast of the United Arab Emirates has been seized and is heading toward Iran. The incident occurred 38 nautical miles northeast of Fujairah, in the United Arab Emirates. According to the agency, the ship “was seized by unauthorized personnel while at anchor” and “is now heading toward Iranian territorial waters.”
