Milan, 14 May (LaPresse) – The Milan Assize Court has sentenced Zhou Bing and Yijie Yao, the two Chinese nationals who masterminded the arson attack that caused the Via Cantoni massacre on 12 September 2024, to 30 years in prison each. The attack claimed the lives of 19-year-old Chinese national Yindan Dong, her 17-year-old brother Yinjie Liu and 24-year-old designer An Pan. The perpetrator of the fire, the Dutch arsonist Washi Laroo, was sentenced to 21 years. The verdict was read out a few minutes ago by the President of the Court, Antonella Bertoja. The public prosecutor, Luigi Luzi, had sought life imprisonment for all of them.
