Turin, 15 May (LaPresse) – Russia and Ukraine have carried out an exchange of prisoners of war, with 205 detainees released on each side, according to the Russian Ministry of Defence. “On 15 May, 205 Russian servicemen were released from territory controlled by the Kiev regime. In exchange, 205 prisoners of war from the Ukrainian armed forces were transferred,” reads the statement, reported by Interfax. “The United Arab Emirates provided humanitarian assistance during the release of the Russian servicemen from captivity,” the ministry reported. According to Interfax, the Russian military personnel are currently in Belarus, where they are receiving the necessary psychological and medical assistance. “All Russian military personnel,” it is specified, “will be transferred to the Russian Federation for treatment and rehabilitation at medical facilities of the Russian Ministry of Defence.”
