Rome, 17 May (LaPresse) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stated that the aim of the joint US-Israel attack was to ‘spread insecurity within the country by supporting terrorist groups’. In a meeting with the Pakistani Minister of the Interior, Mohsin Naqvi, the Iranian president said that the plans had failed thanks to the ‘cooperation and responsibility of Iran’s neighbouring countries in preventing any misuse of their territory against our country, a valuable and commendable act’. Pezeshkian thanked Pakistan, Iraq and Afghanistan ‘for not allowing any action against Iran from their territory’, the Fars news agency reported.
