Rome, 20 May (LaPresse) – The last two bodies of the Italian divers in the Maldives have been recovered. This has been announced by sources at the Foreign Ministry. The first has already been taken aboard a support vessel, whilst the second is currently ascending with a diver who is observing the required decompression stops. The bodies due to be recovered today are those of Muriel Oddenino and Giorgia Sommacal, daughter of Monica Montefalcone, who was also a victim of the tragedy. The bodies of Montefalcone herself, a marine biologist and lecturer at the University of Genoa, and Federico Gualtieri, a 30-year-old from Omegna in Piedmont, were recovered yesterday. On 15 May, the body of the Padua-based diving instructor Gianluca Benedetti was recovered.
