Milan, 21 May (LaPresse) – Generali reported a “significant increase in operating profit to €2.2 billion (+8.1%) in the first quarter of the year, with all segments making a positive contribution”. This was announced by the Generali Group in a statement on its consolidated results for the first quarter of 2026. Normalised net profit – the statement reads – rose to €1.3 billion (+5.2% or +9.3% excluding a one-off tax item1). Normalised EPS increased to €0.84 (+6.0% or +10.2% excluding the same tax item).
