Rome, 21 May (LaPresse) – The value of the IGI (Italian Gas Index) for 21 May stands at 49.73 euros/MWh, a sharp fall from 53.07 euros/MWh on 20 May. The index, calculated daily by the Energy Markets Operator (GME), provides a tool for interpreting and assessing trends observed in Italy’s gas markets and serves as a transparent benchmark that operators can use for hedging transactions and/or supply contracts.
