Rome, April 18 (LaPresse) – Remco Evenepoel, returning to competition today after a five-month injury layoff, won the Brabantse Pijl in a sprint finish ahead of Wout Van Aert. The decisive move came 47 km from the finish with an acceleration by the Belgian Quick-Step rider against his fellow countryman from Visma. The two were briefly joined by Britain’s Joe Blackmore of Israel Premier Tech, who dropped off 16 kilometers from the finish line.
