He was asked if he had sensed the affection and sentiment that Roma fans have for Brazilians. “I sensed it straight away; I arrived at 6 am and there were already people waiting for me. I’m in love with this place, and so is my family. Every time I come into contact with the fans, I’m happier and happier,” he said. The former Flamengo player adapted immediately to the Italian league. “I hoped to settle in, but I didn’t think it would be so soon; instead, everything went well. As for the change of position, it was a bit strange at first on the left, but then I told the manager that I’d play in any position just to get on the pitch,” explained the Brazilian, who has been called up by Ancelotti for the World Cup.
