Rome, 25 May (LaPresse) – Health monitoring has been initiated for a number of people who returned from Uganda in the last few hours and who are undergoing specialist clinical assessment as a precautionary measure. This was announced by the Ministry of Health. Two people with a fever, in particular, have been transferred to the Sacco Hospital in Milan, where the diagnostic tests required by national and international protocols will be carried out. The family members of those involved are, in the meantime, being placed under health surveillance and monitoring. ‘The Ministry is constantly monitoring developments regarding the Ebola virus in close coordination with the Regions, the National Institute of Health, the relevant hospitals, national health authorities and all bodies involved,’ the statement reads.
