Rome, May 28 (LaPresse) – More than 6 out of 10 people (62.1%) struggle to make ends meet, with over 33% having to dip into their savings. This is the finding from the new Eurispes Italy 2026 report in the section dedicated to economic trends and the situation of citizens, which describes “a situation marked by widespread fragility.” Nearly half of citizens (47.8%) expect the country’s economic situation to worsen over the next 12 months, even though citizens’ circumstances remain stable compared to last year. In particular, rent is causing hardship for families, weighing heavily on 45.6% of households.
