The announcement was made on X by Israel’s diplomatic mission to the UN. “The Chief of Staff to the UN Secretary-General telephoned Ambassador Danon and officially informed him of the Secretary-General’s decision to place Israel and its security services on the UN blacklist regarding sexual violence in conflict zones, the same list that includes Hamas’s Nukhba terrorists,” wrote Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, on X. The ambassador ‘criticised him harshly and confronted him with the lies and the political campaign that the Secretary-General is trying to pursue at the expense of Israel’s security. At the end of the conversation, Ambassador Danon made it clear to him in no uncertain terms that we are done with UN Secretary-General Guterres,’ Danon continued.
