Maldives: farewell to Muriel Oddenino; her ashes will be scattered in Finale Ligure

Turin, 29 May (LaPresse) – The funeral of Muriel Oddenino, the 31-year-old biologist who died in the tragic diving accident in the Maldives on 14 May alongside Federico Gualtieri, Monica Montefalcone, her daughter Giorgia Sommacal and Gianluca Benedetti, has concluded. The service began at 10am in the packed parish church of Santa Maria Maggiore in Poirino. A crowd had gathered outside in the churchyard before the service began. A day of mourning has been declared in the town. The biologist’s ashes will be scattered at sea in Finale Ligure.
