Milan, May 29 (LaPresse) – Monza has been promoted to Serie A despite a 0-2 home loss to Catanzaro in the playoff final. The first leg had ended 2-0 in favor of the Lombardy club. Aquilani’s team came within a hair’s breadth of pulling off the feat, but Bianco’s team advances to Serie A due to their superior record. In the closing moments of a closely contested first half, Jack broke the deadlock. In the second half, Catanzaro pushed forward with Iemmello and then doubled their lead through Frosinini. Monza, however, held on and secured promotion.
