Turin, 30 May (LaPresse) – The film world is in mourning. Zeudi Araya, actress and film producer, has died at the age of 75. Born in Eritrea in 1951 and naturalised as an Italian citizen, she was one of the best-known actresses of 1970s Italian erotic cinema, thanks to films such as ‘La ragazza dalla pelle di luna’, ‘La ragazza fuoristrada’ and ‘Il corpo’. “We are losing an actress who represented an era of popular Italian cinema. Zeudi Araya contributed to the success of works in the erotic genre, which represented one of the cinematic phenomena of the 1970s,” said Lucia Borgonzoni, Undersecretary for Culture, in a statement. “A diva capable of reinventing herself as a producer and guardian of a precious legacy, she spanned decades of our screen history, leaving a mark that goes far beyond the legend of the sex symbol.”
