Balsamo finished ahead of Lara Gillespie, in the Red Jersey, and Chiara Consonni, in a finishing order that also mirrors the general classification. Today’s stage also awarded the first Blue Jersey of this edition to Eleonora La Bella and saw a change at the top of the White Jersey standings, with Alessia Zambelli taking the lead from France’s Celia Gery.
