Milan, June 3 (LaPresse) – Ferrari and Charles Leclerc will continue together. The Maranello-based team has in fact announced a multi-year contract extension with the Monegasque driver. “In the upcoming seasons of the Formula 1 World Championship, Leclerc will continue to race as an official driver of the Maranello team,” the statement reads. “I couldn’t be happier to continue this journey with Scuderia Ferrari HP, which is much more than a team for me. It is the team I have always loved and dreamed of joining since I was a child and which, after all these years, has become a second family for me,” Leclerc said. “Together we have shared incredible moments and more difficult ones, but I believe more than ever in the Scuderia and I am deeply grateful to be able to continue fighting for our shared goal of bringing the world title back to Maranello. Being a Ferrari driver is a dream, but also a great responsibility: I will continue to give everything I have to bring the Scuderia back where it belongs, at the top, for all those who work in Maranello and especially for the fans, whose passion is the beating heart,” concluded the Monegasque driver.
