Ukraine, Lavrov: ‘European “peacekeeper” plan arrogant, incites war’.

Milan, March 2 (LaPresse) – ‘Macron, like Starmer, is proposing some ideas, such as that of European peacekeepers’, ‘and this is an arrogant idea’. ‘This plan to introduce peacekeepers in Ukraine is an incitement of the Kiev regime to wage war against us.’ This was said by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in an interview with Krasnaya Zvezda, a Russian Defence Ministry periodical, in which he added that European leaders ‘have trampled on the Minsk agreements’. According to Lavrov, ‘the western neighbours had no intention of implementing them and, after distributing weapons, they brought to power’, first Petro Poroshenko and then Zelensky. ‘It was they who ‘incited’ him to make a 180-degree turn, although, perhaps, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock would have considered this a 360-degree turn,’ he added referring to Zelensky and his “turn” from a man of peace to a “pure Nazi”.
