Fuel: MEF decree published in the Official Gazette, excise duty cut until 3 July

Rome, 6 June (LaPresse) – The Ministry of Economy’s decree extending the cut in excise duty on fuel has been published in the Official Gazette. The reduction will apply “from 7 June 2026 until 3 July 2026”. To cover the shortfall in revenue, 149.4 million euros will be drawn from the additional VAT revenue generated between 1 May and 31 May 2026.
