Milan, June 7 (LaPresse) – The fifth wonder of Kimi Antonelli. With an outstanding performance, the young Mercedes driver won the Monaco Grand Prix, dominating from start to finish, despite a long interruption to repair damage to the track that nearly reopened the fight in the closing stages. Antonelli crossed the line ahead of the Ferrari of Lewis Hamilton and the Red Bull of Isack Hadjar, who benefited from a penalty given to the Alpine of Pierre Gasly. However, Hadjar is also under investigation and could in turn lose the podium to the McLaren of Oscar Piastri. Both Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen were forced to retire. With Antonelli’s victory, an Italian driver wins again in Monaco for the first time since Jarno Trulli triumphed with Renault in 2004.
