Rome, 8 June (LaPresse) – Torture and unlawful detention are the alleged offences at the centre of the Rome Public Prosecutor’s Office’s investigation into the Flotilla affair, in which Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir is under investigation. The case file opened at Piazzale Clodio concerns the boarding of the ship by the Israeli authorities and the derisive remarks made by the minister to the activists detained in the port of Ashdod, who were made to kneel with their hands tied behind their backs after being taken to a port hangar. Italian citizens are also among those involved.
