Milan, 10 June (LaPresse) – ‘Childish, vulgar and provocative language.’ This is how the Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, Antonio Tajani, described the remarks made by the Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, regarding Italy and possible European measures against Israel, during an appearance on the “Ping Pong” programme on Radio 1. “He is a minister unworthy of representing a country like Israel. That is why we had already asked the European Union to initiate proceedings to impose sanctions against him. We are also awaiting a proposal from the European Commission on blocking imports of products from the settlements. We have already imposed sanctions on the settlers and are willing to examine the European Commission’s proposal. We will see, and then, if we approve it, we will support it,” said Tajani.
