Rome, 16 June (LaPresse) – The trial of Francis Kaufmann, accused of the double femicide at Villa Pamphili, is set to resume on 6 July, as he has been deemed fit to stand trial. This decision was taken by the judges of the First Court of Assizes in Rome, who had previously ordered the man to undergo a course of pharmacological treatment following the findings of the psychiatric assessment. “The defendant’s current physical and mental state is compatible with detention, subject to the need to arrange, as has already been done and has been requested once again, for adequate clinical monitoring,” the judges wrote in their ruling.
