Milan, 17 June (LaPresse) – Wout van Aert will miss next month’s Tour de France due to an elbow injury. This is a setback for his team captain, Jonas Vingegaard, who is aiming to challenge Tadej Pogacar. Team Visma-Lease a Bike says that Van Aert has not yet recovered sufficiently to compete. He fell during a training ride ahead of last week’s Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, sustaining an injury. Van Aert has won 10 stages of the Tour. His replacement will be announced on 23 June.
