Madrid (Spain), 17 June (LaPresse) – “We need tax reform, including in Europe, which reduces taxation on employees and pensioners and increases it on profits, investment income and large fortunes. I believe this is a European and global battle that the trade union movement must fight, because that wealth must be recouped in order to change economic and social policies.” This was stated by CGIL General Secretary Maurizio Landini in Madrid, on the eve of the major trade union mobilisation due to take place tomorrow in the Spanish capital, entitled ‘For a democratic Europe: mobilisation for quality work, social justice and peace, against deregulation and austerity’.
