Rome, 18 June (LaPresse) – “As regards Sollicciano, we have taken action here too; we realise that this is a situation that has become entrenched not over the years, but over decades. The prisons plan, which is moving forward on a significant scale, will certainly see this facility, in a sense, scaled back or even closed down as soon as we have the capacity available, probably by the end of the year. However, regarding the matter concerning the judicial authorities’ intervention, the administration is currently gathering the procedural documents and reserves the right to consider any potential appeals.” So said Justice Minister Carlo Nordio in response to questions during Question Time in the Senate.
