Milan, 19 June (LaPresse) – More than 500,000 students sitting the 2026 school-leaving exams are back in the classroom for the second exam, the subject-specific paper. The subjects for the second exam were published by the Ministry of Education and Merit in January, alongside those for the oral exam. Students at the Liceo Classico will sit a Latin translation paper and have four hours to complete it; Mathematics for the Liceo Scientifico (including the Applied Sciences option and the Sports stream) with six hours allocated; Foreign Language and Culture 1 for the Linguistic stream; Humanities for the Humanities stream; Law and Political Economy for the Economic and Social stream; for the Artistic stream, the subjects vary according to the specialisation; Theory, Analysis and Composition for the Music stream; Dance Techniques and Contemporary Dance Techniques for the Dance stream.
