The IDF has identified one of the victims, a lieutenant-colonel, and has stated that the other three will be identified at a later date. The Times of Israel reports that during the incident, which took place shortly after midnight, a suspected drone or anti-tank missile struck the battalion commander’s tank in the village of Kfar Tebnit, in southern Lebanon. The exact cause of the explosion, which killed all four members of the tank’s crew, is the subject of further investigation by the IDF.
