Manchester City, in their first season in 10 years without Pep Guardiola as manager, will host Bournemouth in their opening match, whilst Manchester United will travel to face newly promoted Hull. Liverpool will play away against Newcastle. The season’s fixture list was published by the league on Friday morning. The season will begin a week later than the 2025–26 season, to allow players to recover after the World Cup. The final matchday will be played on Sunday 30 May, six days before the Champions League final on 5 June in Madrid. The season’s opening match, the Community Shield, between reigning champions Arsenal and FA Cup winners Manchester City, will take place on 16 August at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.
