Milan, 19 June (LaPresse) – Israel will remain in the so-called security buffer zone in southern Lebanon ‘for as long as necessary’. This was stated by the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu. “Following Hezbollah’s criminal attack, which constitutes a blatant violation of the ceasefire, last night I ordered the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) to strike Hezbollah hard,” he added in a statement in Hebrew issued by his office and reported by The Times of Israel. According to the Prime Minister, the IDF struck more than 80 Hezbollah targets overnight and killed dozens of terrorists, before launching further attacks against Hezbollah’s command centres in the Bekaa Valley this morning.
