Lebanon: media report at least 12 IDF air strikes in the south following ceasefire announcement

Rome, 19 June (LaPresse) – At least 12 Israeli air strikes have hit southern Lebanon following the announcement that the ceasefire between Hezbollah and Israel had come into effect. This is according to Al Jazeera. Specifically, the IDF air strikes hit Kfar Rumman twice, Nabatieh al-Fawqa three times, carried out three attacks on Kfar Sir and then on the Nabatieh-Zibdin-Choukin area, and struck Jabal al-Rafie, al-Rayhan, Adshit and Masir Haboush. Furthermore – Al Jazeera reports – since 16:48 local time, there have been reports of continuous artillery shelling in Nabatieh and the surrounding areas.
