Milan, 20 June (LaPresse) – “Do I regret my support for Trump? I have no reason to regret it; I feel sorrow and remorse, I repent and feel sorrow when I go to confession in church. I feel Italian, I am Deputy Prime Minister and I want to have good relations with everyone. I can only reiterate that anyone who attacks the Prime Minister is attacking the entire Government and attacking the whole of Italy. This obviously does not compromise relations between two friendly countries, between two friendly peoples.” These were the words of the Deputy Prime Minister and Secretary of the League, Matteo Salvini, on the sidelines of the party’s primaries to select the candidate for Mayor of Milan.
