In the semifinals, the American player, seeded number 5, defeated top seed German Alexander Zverev in three sets with a score of 6-7 (4), 6-4, 7-5. In the final, Fritz will face the winner of the other semifinal between German Daniel Altmaier and American Frances Tiafoe.
