Rome, 21 June (LaPresse) – Marc Marquez has secured his second consecutive victory; following his win in Hungary, he triumphed at Brno to claim the Czech Republic Grand Prix, the ninth round of the MotoGP World Championship. With seven laps to go, the Spanish Ducati world champion made the decisive overtaking manoeuvre on his team-mate, Pecco Bagnaia, who – having led for over half the race – finished third behind Japan’s Ai Ogura, riding for Aprilia Trackhouse. Marquez, capitalising on Marco Bezzecchi’s disqualification, closed the gap on the championship leader, moving to within 40 points of the Aprilia rider, who remains on 180 points. Di Giannantonio is also closing in; riding the VR46 Ducati, he finished fourth, taking his tally to 159 points. Jorge Martin, on the other factory Aprilia, finished ninth, moving to within eight points of Bezzecchi.
