Turin, 22 June (LaPresse) – Another historic result for Cape Verde, who, having held Spain to a draw in their World Cup opener, also drew with Uruguay (2–2) in their Group H match played in Miami. Lenini opened the scoring in the 21st minute of the first half, before Bielsa’s side turned the match around thanks to quick-fire goals from Araujo in the 44th minute and Canobbio in the 51st. In the 16th minute of the second half, Varela scored the equaliser to make it 2-2. Both teams now have 2 points in the group standings and remain in contention for a place in the round of 16.
