Frankfurt (Germany), 23 June (LaPresse) – German Chancellor Friedrich Merz does not believe that the era of global crises will end any time soon. “The global context of crisis, war – what we call a state of emergency – will remain the norm for the coming years, perhaps decades,” Merz said at Industry Day in Berlin, as reported by Handelsblatt. “We must therefore focus our efforts on our ability to withstand crises and on our responsiveness,” the Chancellor added, noting that “we can remain resilient and sovereign only if we are strong internally, if we grow here, and if we succeed in domestic competition”.
