An Idaho sheriff’s deputy stated that Miller was arrested for possession of hallucinogenic mushrooms containing psilocybin. Court documents show that he was arrested on 6 June in eastern Idaho. The following week, Miller pleaded not guilty to charges of drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. The former champion stated in an Instagram post that he had been pulled over after overtaking a vehicle and that a friend of his was carrying a small amount of cannabis and a cannabis pipe, of which Miller was unaware. Idaho has strict drug laws. Miller, known for his highly risky and spectacular skiing style, has won six Olympic medals (one gold) and 33 World Cup races.
