Turin, 26 June (LaPresse) – The match between Japan and Sweden in Arlington ends 1-1, in a fixture for Matchday 3 of Group F at the World Cup. All the action came in the second half: Maeda put Japan ahead in the 11th minute, and a few minutes later – in the 17th minute – Elanga scored the equaliser, sending Sweden through to the round of 16 as third in the group. Japan, meanwhile, finished second in the group and will face Brazil in the round of 16.
