Milan, 28 June (LaPresse) – Thieves made off with an estimated haul of at least half a million euros – though the exact figure is still being calculated – after breaking into the villa owned by tenor Andrea Bocelli during the night between Friday and Saturday. The news of this major theft was reported by *Il Tirreno*. The villa, currently rented to an American family on holiday in Versilia, was targeted in the middle of the night whilst no one was at home. Initial investigations by the Carabinieri suggest that the villa’s burglar alarm system had not been activated.
