A 2-1 comeback victory for coach Carlo Ancelotti’s side, who in Houston against Japan secured qualification only in the final moments. In the first half the Japanese took the lead with Sano in the 29th minute. In the second half Casemiro equalised in the 11th minute. In the 96th minute, deep into stoppage time, Martinelli scored the winner. For the Seleção there is now anticipation to find out their next opponent between Norway and Ivory Coast.
