Turin, 30 June (LaPresse) – “At the end of a fruitful seven-season partnership, Pallacanestro Olimpia Milano would like to thank Ettore Messina for his work in his dual roles as head coach and President of Basketball Operations, and for his contribution which has enabled the club to grow both on and off the court, both technically and organisationally.” So read a statement from the Lombardy-based club. “Under Coach Messina’s leadership, Olimpia won three league titles, two Italian Cups and three Super Cups, as well as returning to the EuroLeague Final Four in 2021 after a 29-year absence. For all this, Ettore Messina will always hold a prominent place in the club’s history,” the statement continued. “Pallacanestro Olimpia and its owners wish Ettore Messina all the very best for his future.”
