Rome, June 30. (LaPresse) – “With 3Den, Italy promotes concrete international cooperation, capable of transforming technological innovation into real benefits for citizens, businesses, and local communities. The goal is to reduce waste and costs, improve the quality of energy services, and enhance the Italian system’s expertise in the global energy transition.” This was stated by Minister of Environment and Energy Security Gilberto Pichetto Fratin as part of the ’11th Global Energy Efficiency Conference of the International Energy Agency (IAE) in Montreal, Canada. The session in which the minister took part highlighted 3Den, the initiative promoted by the Ministry of the Environment together with the IAEA and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). Through international competitive calls, 3Den supports partnerships between business, research and local communities to develop innovative digital solutions that can make energy systems more efficient, safe and resilient. To date, the initiative has supported 18 pilot projects, involving some 80 enterprises, universities, research centres and start-ups, with significant Italian participation.
