Milan, 1 July (LaPresse/AP) – According to a source close to the negotiations, Kawhi Leonard is set to return to the Toronto Raptors, after the team reached an agreement with the Los Angeles Clippers to reunite with the player who led them to the 2019 NBA championship. The Raptors will send Brandon Ingram, Grady Dick, two first-round picks, two second-round picks and a pick swap to the Clippers in exchange for Leonard, the source told the Associated Press on Tuesday, speaking on condition of anonymity as the trade has not yet been approved by the league. In other moves, Latvian centre Kristaps Porzingis has agreed a two-year, $40 million contract with the Golden State Warriors, who announced the deal. Robert Williams III has signed a contract extension with the Portland Trail Blazers that will keep him with the team until the 2028–29 season, as announced by the franchise on Tuesday. The Phoenix Suns have agreed a two-year, $13 million deal with veteran guard Luke Kennard. Last season, he played for the Atlanta Hawks and the Los Angeles Lakers, averaging 8.4 points per game. Finally, the Philadelphia 76ers have agreed a four-year, $39 million deal with forward Dean Wade, who spent his first six seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
