Milan, 1 July (LaPresse) – In June 2026, 146,423 passenger cars were registered, compared with 132,402 registrations in the same month of the previous year, representing an increase of 10.59 per cent. This was announced by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport. From January to June, 936,783 vehicles were registered, 9.58% more than the 854,910 registered during the same period the previous year. There were 481,205 transfers of ownership, compared with 439,475 recorded in June 2025, representing an increase of 9.50%. Of the total monthly sales volume of 627,628, 23.33% were new cars and 76.67% were used cars. Registrations are based on data from the National Vehicle Register as at 30 June 2026, whilst the figures for transfers of ownership refer to certificates issued by the Motor Vehicle Registration Offices in June 2026.
