Wimbledon: Sonego advances to the third round

Turin, 2 July (LaPresse) – Lorenzo Sonego has advanced to the third round of the men’s draw at Wimbledon, the third Grand Slam of the season currently being played on the grass courts of the All England Lawn Tennis Club. The Piedmontese player, ranked 69th in the ATP rankings, defeated Gabriel Diallo, ranked 88th in the world, in five sets, with the score 6-7 (4), 6-4, 6-7 (4), 7-6 (6), 2-6 in a match lasting almost four and a half hours. In the third round, Sonego will face the American Taylor Fritz.
