Milan, 2 July (LaPresse) – The 26-year-old man, who had been under house arrest in connection with the death of Francesco Imprezzabile, a 39-year-old Milan Local Police officer who died during a chase involving the SUV driven by the young man – who had failed to stop when signalled to do so – is to return to prison. The 26-year-old’s pre-trial detention conditions have been tightened. The Milan investigating magistrate had ordered house arrest with an electronic tag, but the tightening of the measure is linked to a decision by the investigating magistrate in Brescia, where the 26-year-old, of Albanian origin, was under investigation for another offence. The measure was enforced today by the Mobile Patrol Unit of the Milan Local Police, together with officers from the Mobile Squad of the Monza Police Headquarters. The 26-year-old, who was arrested in connection with the death of Local Police officer Francesco Imprezzabile on charges of dangerous escape and is under investigation for causing death as a result of another offence, was picked up from the residence where he had been placed under house arrest with an electronic tag earlier today and was taken to Monza Prison.
