Frankfurt (Germany), 3 July (LaPresse) – Police in Hesse have searched the home and car of a 39-year-old Ukrainian woman suspected of being involved in the attack on Ukrainian oligarch Vadim Ermolaev, which took place last Monday in the Principality of Monaco. Dominik Mies, spokesperson for the Frankfurt Public Prosecutor’s Office, told LaPresse that the operations were carried out on Thursday as part of a request for international judicial assistance made by the Monegasque authorities. “Initial findings from the investigation by the judicial authorities of the Principality of Monaco have revealed links to the state of Hesse. As part of a request for international judicial assistance, on Thursday 2 July, the Hesse police, with the support of special units, searched the flat rented by a 39-year-old Ukrainian woman in the Main-Taunus district. The vehicle used by the woman was also searched and seized,” said the spokesperson, adding that “The woman is suspected of being involved in the attack”. Mies explained that “during the operations, evidence was seized which will be forwarded to the authorities in the Principality of Monaco” and that “the Hesse security authorities are cooperating with the Monegasque investigators and are maintaining close coordination with them”. According to the Frankfurt Public Prosecutor’s Office, “the suspect is currently on the run. An international arrest warrant has been issued against her”.
