Turin, 3 July (LaPresse) – Lewis Hamilton was the fastest on the track in the first and only free practice session of the Formula 1 British Grand Prix. The Ferrari driver clocked a time of 1’29″260, finishing 213 thousandths ahead of World Championship leader Kimi Antonelli and his team-mate Charles Leclerc, who was third, more than half a second behind (+0.599). Fourth place went to the other Mercedes, driven by George Russell, 678 thousandths behind his compatriot. Qualifying for tomorrow’s sprint race is scheduled for 5 pm.
